The EPA and US Army Corps of Engineers have proposed a rule that would dramatically restrict which bodies of water are covered by the Clean Water Act. Their proposal would strip federal clean water act protection from millions of stream miles across the country. These streams not only supply drinking water for 117 million people they provide essential habitat for fish and wildlife.
The opportunity for public comment is open and will run through Monday January 5. The link below will take you to a Trout Unlimited page where you can learn more about the proposed rule and easily share your comments with Congress. It only takes a few minutes, so act now!
